Youth Empowerment School (YES) is a relatively new small school located in East Oakland. The school began on the Fremont High School campus, and has since relocated to its own campus. Youth Together began working at the school in August of 2007. There of the 213 students at YES. The community of Youth Empowerment School applies the principles of Personal and Academic Empowerment, Social Empowerment, and the development Critical Communication and Consciousness to create a healthy learning community that fulfills our vision and evolves positive social change.
